ConversAI: Story of App, How It Came to Life

Why Development of ConversAI?

For most times, one finds oneself at a loss of words with whomsoever. Whether it is a friendly conversation, a business message, or even as simple as sending a text to a friend, one always draws blanks or reassesses what to say. I wanted to improve my communication skills, so I started using ChatGPT-inputting snapshots of conversation and asking it to suggest what to say. That was a very useful and sincerely changing hack; I then thought, why not make it more convenient-an app for this kind of support? Thus, ConversAI was born.

ConversAI is designed for people like me who sometimes need that extra help in framing a thoughtful, context-aware response. Want to sound casual or have an important message across? With ConversAI, you feel so much more confident about what you say.

This was a project starting from scratch, and I'm building it on a shoestring budget. I am using the Google Gemini API-driven AI responses since that one is free. I have learned a whole new framework so this could be possible, but it totally has been worth it. ConversAI is an early-stage product, but my goal is to make something that anyone can leverage to make communication easier and more effective.

How to Use ConversAI

  1. Open ConversAI: Open the home page of the application. You will be presented with a very simple and intuitive interface ready to help you.

  2. Upload a Conversation Snapshot: Take a screenshot of your current conversation or message thread that you need help with and upload it into ConversAI.

  3. AI-Powered Response Generation: Once you have uploaded the screenshot, ConversAI will analyze the context and the tone of the conversation with Google Gemini AI. In a trice, it will suggest to you a response that sounds natural, respectful, and just right for the occasion.

  4. Review and Send: Go through the suggested response, fix up as you deem necessary, and hit Send with confidence!

So, with ConversAI just getting started and so much more I envision to make it accessible and helpful for everyone, I am quite excited to see how this tool will go on to help an increasing number of people communicate confidently and meaningfully.
