Contrad

Creativity and innovation

We have designed a product called inclutab which is a tablet that students can use to learn and that doesn’t require an internet connection. This project will help us bridge the digital divide as the sports learning activities are delivered in various local languages and local storytelling is employed.

We choose special games and sports that eliminate gender stereotyping and prejudice against people with disabilities.

The Contrad kit is durable and easily transported and it can be moved from one location to another without requiring any special transportation logistics even in the face of emergencies.

Impact

This project is employed to achieve SDG goal 4 which is to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

Progress has been tough in some developing regions due to high levels of poverty, armed conflict and closure of schools due to the effects of the Covid - 19 Pandemic and natural disasters like the current flooding situation in Anambra State Nigeria which has displaced over 660,00 people and has killed 79 people.

with contrad, we are delivering equitable education through sports activities that encourage inclusion and the equal participation of girls and women, people with disabilities and other vulnerable and underrepresented groups and individuals.

The physical activities in Contrad can improve learning outcomes by fostering academic performance, leadership capabilities, concentration and focus abilities. Physical activities and play can motivate children and youth to attend school and engage in formal and informal education.

Implementation feasibility

We will have trained volunteers who deploy these kits to various communities. They will be trained to work with students with low digital skills, and children with any form of disability and also be trained to ensure gender equity.

Our revenue model will be a buy one pay for two, where schools who can afford Contrad pay for a kit and one kit is donated to marginalized communities.

This model has been run successfully by Warby Parker, where a customer pays for a pair of sunglasses and the profit goes into providing a pair of glasses to the less privileged. We will also be funding this project from the revenue of other for-profit products we have in Lumever and also grants from sponsor donors.

We will be launching contrad first in Nigeria and then we will penetrate other regions of Africa, and then conquer the world.

By the third quarter of 2023 we hope to have established standardized curricula with the ministry of education, this will pave way for the general acceptability of contrad and ensure massive adoption.
