The Power Rangers are dedicated to constant learning. We're a rag-tag group of interdisciplinary students (mostly engineers) who are on the road to learn.
What it does
We're doing rare event classification of oil well faults.
How we built it
Per the specifications the project was built with Jupyter notebook.
Challenges we ran into
We're a learner team, many of whom were completely new to different aspects of the project. Yichi and Samantha are new to programming while Justin is new to Jupyter and data science. Jennifer was the most experienced member of the team but her analytics training was predominantly in closed source solutions. In this competition we chose to use open source tools.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Everyone learned a lot by working together on the project.

What's next for ConocoPhillips Notebook
Jennifer wanted to create more test and training sets for cross validation which we did not have time for today. We also wanted to try an ensemble model which we were not able to do due to time.
