Inspiration

The project is inspired by the mission of implementing sustainable goals. The main purpose of the project is to track the progress of sustainable goals such as water conservation and energy conservation to transform the future with smart sustainable solutions.

What it does

The project website allows companies to track the water usage and energy usage of their buildings. Companies can check the energy usage of each area in terms of status (on/off), watts, kilowatt per hour, type (incandenscent, fluorescent, LED), risk (high, low, moderate), and provides suggestions on reducing the energy consumption of a specific area using the interactive map of their building. Companies can implement smart water conservation by checking the activity status (on/off), pressure sensor, and information about the taps using an interactive map. The project focuses on sustainable development by tracking sustainable goals of water conservation and energy conservation.

How we built it

We built it using HTML, CSS, Javascript on VS Code. We used Figma to create the user design interface.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into challenges while implementing our ideas into code, for example, implementing the interactive maps and data for tracking water and energy usage.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of coming up with creative solutions for sustainable development and learn about various technologies from the sponsors.

What we learned

We learned about creating a creative solution within 24 hours. We learned how it is challenging to come up with a fully developed project. We also learned about the mission of the companies and sponsors. We also learned about companies use technologies such as Generative AI, Cloud Computing, and AWS to manage their database and applications.

What's next for Company Sustainability

Implementing sustainable goals such as smart water conservation and energy conservation can help companies focus on environmental impact, cost saving, long-term business sustainability, employee engagement and satisfaction, and regulatory compliance and incentives.
