Inspiration
-At CompanionCare, we strive to prevent the physical and mental health risks linked to social isolation with one-on-one positive interactions from a friendly, highly educated and engaging visitor.
What it does
-We developed an website and mobile app that connects seniors aged 65+ with younger companions.
CompanionCare employees offer these services: -Transportation
-Social Companionship
-Service/Comfort dog service
-Bedside nursing available by trained professionals.
-Light Housekeeping
How we built it
-We developed certain features together using html, css, javascript, and jquery and implemented it using wix.com, which uses javascript.
Challenges we ran into
-Two of our members left during the planning phase, leaving only two members to create the entire project
Accomplishments that we're proud of
-Being able to successfully finish the project while dealing with adversity.
What we learned
-We better developed our teamwork and leadership skills while further improving our coding skills.
