Inspiration

Traditional coding lessons are often uninteresting or don't have much of a retention factor due to the same reason. By gamifying coding and creating a collaborative, supportive aspect, we seek to make the coding space more accessible to lots of people.

What it does

This app has short, introductory courses for HTML, Python, Java, and C++, with lessons that are themed around One Piece and pirates, and all of them feature a "final boss" round with

How we built it

We used Figma to develop the UI and UX and mock up the app.

Challenges we ran into

It wasn't possible to embed the code snippets into the app directly without paying for Figma, so we had to resort to linking it to an external site where the user could copy and run the code for themselves.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

None of our group members have a lot of advanced coding experience, and we were also able to make a good-looking UI and develop it quite fully in the limited time we had.
