Inspiration

Many young people want to be involved with volunteering, but few know how to find new opportunities. Since they are unpaid, it is hard for people to gauge the commitment and value of these opportunities.

What it does

Our points system fixed this by providing information on the difficulty and commitments of these opportunities.

How we built it

We used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript elements to store and share information.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into difficulties storing and sharing data across screens.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of how we stored our data and our consistent yet dynamic UI.

What we learned

We learned how to share data in a structured format, so that we can keep track of it and utilize it in all elements of the site.

What's next for Communi-team

We hope to implement a NoSQL Database like Firestore or MongoDB, so we can store more data and implement security measures on protected fields like passwords.
