Inspiration
In today’s digital environments, people constantly manage multiple tasks, information streams, and decisions. However, cognitive overload is largely invisible. Most people only realize they are mentally exhausted after their performance drops, mistakes increase, or they experience burnout. Without a way to detect rising mental strain in real time, individuals struggle to manage their workload effectively or recognize when they need to rest, refocus, or simplify tasks.
What it does
Cognitive Load Radar translates subtle behavioral and physiological signals into a clear visualization of a person’s cognitive state. The system analyzes indicators such as interaction patterns, attention signals, and task switching behavior to estimate mental workload. It then presents this information through an intuitive interface that shows states such as focus, rising strain, overload, and fatigue. By making cognitive load visible, the tool helps users adjust their behavior such as taking breaks, reducing multitasking, or reorganizing tasks, before mental overload impacts productivity, safety, or wellbeing.
