Inspiration
It was inspired by the Cognite challenge
What it does
we use a linear prediction based on the past wind predictions to predict the future wind speeds
How we built it
we built it using python with linear regression
Challenges we ran into
we where over ambitious and our original model had too many features. we are very happy we where able to submit as none of us have ever done with before nor do we have any experience with data science.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
given our lack of experience, we are very happy that we where able to submit and hope to do even better in the future using what we learned through this challenge.
What we learned
We learned how to use diffrent tools in data science which we had never worked with.
What's next for Cognite
we where hoping to use other buoys near the one we where looking at to try to tract wind patterns and movements, allowing us to get more accurate data, but we didn't have the knowledge to implement it within our model.
