Inspiration

At the end of the day, everything we do is for the benefit of patients and ensuring that all patients can keep their brains healthy

What it does

Our platform empowers individuals to detect early signs of cognitive impairment and take targeted steps and interventions to delay the progression of Alzheimer's disease.

How we built it

The mockup was built using figma. However, the final product will be built using React, mongoDB, AWS

Challenges we ran into

We had a large team from many different time zones around the global, which could be challenging, but we were proud to be able to work together to create a product.

Accomplishments that we're proud of:

With the cognitive score, users will be coached to do a scientifically validated intervention targeting lifestyle factors like diet, exercise, cognitive and social stimulation, and management of vascular/metabolic risk factors, which has been shown to improve cognitive function.

What we learned

Scientific evidence reveals that early recognition of mild cognitive impairment and targeted lifestyle changes can slow progression of the disease.

What's next for Cog-O-Meter:

We propose a business model in which concerned individuals voluntarily download this app on their devices, and we will sell this information to would-be advertisers or public health agencies. Potential customers include pharmaceutical companies, medical groups, manufacturers of exercise equipment and companies that promote nutritional interventions, and food delivery.
