Inspiration
Since many students or people want/have to build a coding project whether it’s for college assignment, internship/job portfolio, or even side project, they often get confused by many coding projects ideas on the internet. That is why Codingly created to make them find which coding project ideas they want to build.
What it does
Codingly is a website to help people find a coding project idea using a random generator. Basically, all you have to do is choose what language you want to use and click the random generator button to get a project idea.
How I built it
First, I planned the design for the website on Figma. Then, I created the entire pages of the website myself using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the generator.
Challenges I ran into
As this was the first time I deployed a website using Github, I have a little difficulty at the beginning on how to publish it as a public website in Github.
Accomplishments that I was proud of
I have created a place for people to find ideas for their coding projects which make them easier to quickly start the project.
What I learned
Throughout hours of coding the website, I learned how to deploy a website publicly using Github and how to manage my time since I was almost forget about my real life.
What's next for Codingly
I will:
- Add new language options, such as C++, C#, etc.
- Change the UI of the website
- Make the website responsive to all devices
- Add new features
- Use API for the generator
- Deploy the website using other tool And I will continue to develop this website so people from all over the world can access it for benefit.
