Our personal experience with students with special needs has shown us that the system currently does not educate, empower, or engage students with special needs.

Our project allows people to write what they want to say and have an active involvement in how their technology works. They can create their own sentences and their own word and select which statements and scenarios they would like to prioritize. It reduces the time it takes for them to respond to questions by having them pre-programmed. It provides a new tool for daily interaction.

This allows students to understand how the technology they use everyday works. A lot of these kids have intellectual disabilities, typically characterized by difficulties problem solving, as well as communication. The special needs education system doesn't teach them abstract thinking, something we believe is very important as society progresses. Potentially open up possibilities for career opportunities in the workforce

This allows them to engage with and control their own devices and helps to facilitate social interaction and increase exposure to complex situations.
