Inspiration
Have you ever had a exam in 2 days or some big homework due, but never could manage to stop your little procrastination? One more, one more game! you would shout, like a sniveling little crook. But the only one you're fooling is yourself. Behold: Cobalt, an app that shines the light of truth upon on your mischievous deviations!
What it does
Cobalt runs in your background, collecting when you use and how long you use your apps. It tracks every GUI app, including games. It sends this data to a server that crunches numbers and gives you an overview and a deeper look at your data, so that you can find patterns.
How we built it
We used C# for the client, to safely collect information without crashing. The web server is made using Bootstrap, eexpress adnd HTML/CSS technologies.
Challenges we ran into
Performance issues, and dear little chrome giving us too little information. Bugs too. LOT of them :)
