What it does

Our application looks to invigorate individuals around the world to choose a more environmentally friendly way to commute from place to place. It is well known that if drastic changes are not made, life as we know it may not exist for much longer due to climate change. Walking and biking will be rewarded. The user is able to know exactly how much carbon they’ve kept out of the atmosphere using our conversion rate.

How we built it

We use React to build this converter. By utilizing React Hooks and CSS, the loading time is decreased and the user sees an appealing interface.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Not only did we complete this project this two people, we both had a busy weekend with other events planned. Nevertheless, we were able to create a project that, though still has a ways to go, can contribute to raising awareness about climate change.

Challenges

Time management was definitely a challenge as we both had a busy weekend. The design for the layout of the web page looked not the best at first but we were able to make some adjustments so the final product looks slightly better.
