Inspiration
The main inspirations for this project was due to the lack of tools that were present to small business owner.
What it does
The main premise of this tool is to be a "one stop shop" for all the finance and business related events for a SMB. We will provide payroll application, expense tracking, collaborative environment, and business advice.
How we built it
We used the main framework of Cedar-OS to establish a Co-pilot to help make the decisions for the business owner easier. An example of this is 'Cedar: Can you please pay $500 to Gavin for the recent expidenture that he incurred"
Challenges we ran into
The main challenge we faced was the backends with the APIs of Stripe and Square and the implementation of combing those and integrating those into the a fluid experience.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to present a MVP of how it is in progress yet able to incorporate the necessary tools that we had initially thought of. The hope of implementing multiple tools into one with an assistant feature was a task that took us a lot of time. Alongside the various APIs that we were using. Also another thing that we are proud of is that it is a friendly interface that not only explains and works in a beginner friendly way, but it's also very transparent on what it's doing.
What we learned
We truly learned that not only is it a very complex feature but the innovative thinking behind this took us a while to figure out -----------------
What's next for Co-Cedar
We plan to thinker with it further to see how to optimize the product we have and to see how viable it is in the real world market as many people might still be puzzled about the use of Co-Pilot and AI in terms of financing and money.
