Inspiration

Fashion is one of the most wasteful industries, and while people often want to live more sustainably, it’s hard to change habits. Wardrobes overflow, but individuals still feel like they have “nothing to wear.” The result: overconsumption, wasted resources, and stress in daily decision-making. This issue would be heighted in the hyper digital future, thus users need the ability to optimise their existing closets. Our solution only adresses the person issue but also creates a global impact for the city of the digital future .

What it does

We built a web app that allows users to upload images of their clothing and generates context-relevant outfits for them. We also have a demo version of a feature to rent and share clothing with others in your community.

How we built it

We built a react/typescript front end. We used supabase to store images and fetched from there to allow users to store their closet digitally. We used the Gemini API for outfit generation.

Challenges we ran into

Accessing free computer vision APIs that would have helped tag images. Free services to create databases and store images.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting images stored on supabase and rendered as well as AI-powered outfit generation without previous experience using these tools.

What we learned

We learnt how to communicate collaborate and work together as a team in something we are all passionate about

What's next for Clueless

For future endeavors we aim to polish our current project while introducing new features such as computer vision for the users to be able view the cloths on them
