Inspiration

Learning about these topics in school, me and my team felt like it was something that should be more known. The Indigenous peoples of Canada are the original inhabitants of the land that we are currently on, so they deserve a lot more respect and a good way to start would be to give them drinkable water, which is a basic human right.

What it does

Our website and game was built with the goal to teach youth about the water crisis, it's importance, and solutions in a fun and interactive manner.

How we built it

Since we are all beginner coders, most of the website and games were built on Vercel and Perplexity by giving prompts to the AI models, and adjusting them to our liking.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was getting our websites and apps to look good and function correctly. Due to our lack of abilities, small problems with formats and bugs took a lot of effort and time to fix, making it difficult to get the results that we wanted.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Despite difficulties, we were all happy with the final results and well formatted our website looked by the end.

What we learned

We learned what are strength's are when it comes to working on websites, as well as how to better use language models to create what we want.

What's next for Cluck The Water

Hopefully we can get our website shown to a larger audience, preferably to schools and students willing to try our game.
