Inspiration
There's a website on Tamusa called Outbox. Our idea inspiration came from this website as we wanted to do something similar but with a better UI.
What it does
It's a web app that takes in a file given by the user and through a two-factor authentication ( through encryption and being given a link through an email ) the same file is given to a recipient encrypted and decrypted. Also, it is iOS-friendly, meaning it works on certain phones.
How we built it
We used vs code to build it as it made it easier for all the group members to code at the same time and allowed for changes to occur without any delay or miscommunication.
Challenges we ran into
Trying to find a server for the email to go to and for the user to receive a link. Gradient and opacity difficulties for the webpage. This was just a minor one.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Being able to make a sleek design of the website and app. We also made it user-friendly on iOS software, or well some phones. Having the file being uploaded to be encrypted and then decrypted back when we asked for it was something we were very proud of.
What we learned
This was the first Hackathon experience for some, so that was really fun. The back-end process of figuring out the code for encryption was really fun to learn and comprehend.
What's next for Cloud Secure
Being able to get the email authentication to work.
