Inspiration

A while ago, someone I knew who has ADHD complained to me about how they were struggling to get tasks done. The existing apps made them bored and did not end up helping them as much as they wanted them to. That was my inspiration for this app.

What it does

This app is a to-do list app that aims to help high school students with ADHD complete tasks and manage their time effectively. It uses a novel approach of task organization and prioritization, as well as the incorporation of timers and analytics to help benefit the user the most.

How we built it

This app was built using Flutter, a powerful, versatile framework for creating mobile apps. It is the result of the hard work and determination of one person: Daksh Srivastava.

Challenges we ran into

We struggled with making our animation look appealing while still not being overly intrusive, but after careful design, we succeeded.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our system of timers and due dates, that non-intrusively helps keep the user on track. We are also proud of our task completion celebration, that leverages dopamine in a positive way to encourage users to complete tasks on time.

What we learned

We learned the importance of careful UI and UX design when it comes to designing apps with a focus on accessibility.

What's next for Clockwork

We are planning on implementing AI-based features such as AI-driven adaptive time allocation and breaks, where an LLM factors in the user's analytics to adaptively change how the timers work and how long the breaks are, to maximize the efficiency of the user. We are also planning on adding
