Inspiration

The idea came to us when we and people we know were having trouble focusing during remote learning. We wanted something more interactive, and we wanted to have the added benefit of bringing awareness to Climate Change for the younger generation.

What it does

It's a game that allows for learning to be more interactive and fun for kids. This improves the quality of learning.

How we built it

We used pygame on pycharm with graphics from ms paint.

Challenges we ran into

We tried to make a moving tail that followed the main sprite, but that didn't work, so we changed the game up a bit. There was also a slight slip up with collisions that was solved.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were proud of finishing the game at all. We were happy with our graphics and the relatively smooth gameplay.

What we learned

We learned a lot about game development, specifically how it can help people and be beneficial to people.

What's next for Climate Cobra

We'd like to add more information, improve the graphics, and also make it as kind of a gateway for kids to get into Climate Change research and how they can do something to help make a difference.
