Inspiration
The inspiration for our coding project on creating a family to-do list website could have stemmed from a variety of sources.. The idea was probably inspired by a desire to simplify and arrange tasks in a family setting. One of the main motivators may have been everyday situations in which families had to plan and oversee events, shared activities, or domestic duties. Creating a workable approach to improve family cooperation and communication might have been the aim.
What it does
This task manager orgainizes tasks within a household. One admin- or a parent, will assign tasks to each member of the household.
How we built it
We built it using Node JS, Python, React, MySql, HTML, and CSS
Challenges we ran into
Learning all that we did within the short time frame of 10 hours and implementing it into the website was a huge obstacle.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Learning how to establish a connection to the database was a huge accomplishment. And throughout all of the challenges, overcoming them and still submitting a something at the end of it was a huge win for us all.
What we learned
Our coding project, which involved using GitHub, Visual Studio Code, and a SQL database to create a to-do list website, allowed us to learn important lessons about various aspects of software development. We gained an understanding of the foundations of branch management, pull requests, and version control with Git, working together on a common codebase via GitHub. We refined our HTML, CSS, and JavaScript abilities on the front end by using Visual Studio Code to create an interactive user interface.
What's next for Clear Focus
To start, our priority is to ensure the website functions smoothly and is user-friendly. When users first visit the site, they'll find their own personalized to-do list. However, admins will have special privileges, allowing them exclusive editing access to all user to-do lists. As for the settings, users should be able to customize according to their choice.This could include options such as theme customization, notification settings, and display preferences, enhancing the overall usability and flexibility of the platform.
