Inspiration

We want a way for classmates to connect and share resources without a teacher observing.

What it does

It functions as a chat for study topics and a location broadcaster for study groups. We also have many other features we'd like to add in the future.

How we built it

BlueMix server with node.js and a clearDB

Challenges we ran into

clearDB database was very challenging to work with. It kept timing out our connection, so we had to refresh between practically every db query.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Everything we've accomplished is very exciting for us. This is the first Hackathon any of us have participated in, and this project is something we want to continue to work on after this event.

What we learned

Setup takes a lot longer than expected when you are not familiar with the tools.

What's next for Classmate Connector

Polishing up the current features and adding in the features we didn't have time to start during this Hackathon.
