Inspiration
We have had experience with similar tools in the past but had not taken the time to consider the practical applications of this technology. When chatting with the Co:Here team this weekend we were inspired to explore how we could take this technology and use it to develop a meaningful product of our own.
What it does
Our project uses the power of Natural Language Processing to aid students with their literary endeavours.
How we built it
Combined HTML, CSS, javascript, Bootcamp, node.js, browserify and the co:here API in order to build this project.
Challenges we ran into
For its JS implementation the co:here website presents the usage of its API through the require() function which is not recognized outside of Node.js so we had a lot of trouble coming up with how to work about this eventually, settling on browserify.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Finally getting the outputs we wanted from the API was a big milestone in the project
What we learned
Learned a lot about NLP's, how to set them up, how to work with them, and how to utilize the API to integrate it into our project.
What's next for Clarify!
Planning to fine-tune the learning models for more accurate outputs which are more closely related to the input.
