Chronic Connect

Inspiration

Inspired by a personal story of a friend living with MS (Multiple Sclerosis). She identified a lack of dedicated platform for finding a supportive network tailored to her disease.

What it does

Provides a support platform for MS sufferers to collaborate about their experience of their disease through discussion board forums and critically the Mentor Me program.

How we built it

Using: Sketch App, and Invision

Challenges we ran into

-Ensuring privacy of the app -Creating a consumer driven interface system that orientates a consumer experience

Accomplishments that we are proud of

A personal story that translated into a beautiful application that supports the experience of sufferers of the disease.

What we learned

• How to collaborate within a team multi-disciplinary individuals. How to bring a concept from idea to reality.

What's next for Chronic Connect

• Pitching the idea to MS Australia to identify the extent/use of the application
• Developing a fully-functioning prototype of the application
• Creating a similar program for other chronic disease conditions (e.g HIV, Crohn's disease and potentially carers)
