Inspiration

We love Python and we love Chris. That's why we made this game!

What it does

It's a simple quiz game with 15 questions, similar to Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?. There are a few bugs here and there but we managed to develop a Minimum Viable Product just in time!

How we built it

We made it using React, and Node.js. We built it and served it to the web using Netlify, so there's no need to download and build the project on your computer!

Challenges we ran into

This was everyone's first time using React, so understanding how it works and fixing bugs was really challenging, especially with the time pressure. We also had quite a few troubles making node.js work properly with some of the dependencies, as we don't have much experience with it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Finishing the quiz! Developing an MVP. Learning tons of things in just 24 hours!

What we learned

We learnt: Making basic apps with React, using React hooks, managing packages with node.js, building with node.js, deploying a build to the web using Netlify, and more!

What's next for Chris: The Game

More questions, more lines, visual effects and sound effects and much, much more!

Did a bit of everything! Worked on a bit of the functionality with React, some of the visuals and frontend, and made some of the audio clips. Also took care of setting up the project, building with node.js and deploying to Netlify.

Worked with Juan and Run on implementing fundamental functionalities of the game using React. Also worked on a bit of updating css styling and audio clips. This was my first time implementing a service using React, so I learned a lot about how to modularize my code.

I worked on front-end and helped with Juan to make a better design. To apply css to react component, I could experience a lot of css and learned a lot of react as well.

Worked with Jesper on implementing the backend functionalities of the game using react.js as well as creating the sound and video. It's my first time learning how to use react components and I learned a lot.
