Inspiration
Coming home after reading week, I noticed that the Danforth, (a busy street for shopping and dining), had a bunch of new restaurants. Throughout our lives we both noticed the lack of permeance in the restaurant industry.
What it does
Given a restaurant's TouchBistro generated data, computes optimal places for expansion, as well as general tips for expanding/moving your businesses location.
How we built it
Python and Google Maps API. Our first time for either of us integrating an API into a coding project, so AI was an a helper on this front.
Challenges we ran into
As mentioned previously, linking up our API with our code, and taking advantage of the API's query power. Additionally our third teammate, due to extenuating circumstances, was unable to do his part, resulting in more work for the both of us.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of our visuals, successfully creating repository GitHub, implementing an API into our project, and our effective team work as a duo.
What's next for The Chief Special
A fully developed system that connects customers to restaurant owners directly. Better algorithm to match a variety of consumer portfolios with regions in a given city/town. More precise insights for a determined dominant portfolio.
