Inspiration

From when we first learned about this hackathon, we had one goal. No matter what the theme was, we would incorporate a cat as the playable character. We ended up getting lucky with the theme, as cats already tend to connect us with one another.

How we built it

For the game engine we decided to use Godot v4.3 as that is where we had the most experience. For art and animation, our artist decided to use Krita as that is what they had the most knowledge in.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest issues we ran into had to do with the scaling of 2D Sprites, resulting in misaligned assets.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to push out a functioning game a lot faster than we ever have before, all while not cutting corners when it comes to designing the codebase.

What we learned

We learned that we need more than 1 artist ;-;
