Mission Asset Fund's customer receive incomes from various sources like cash, paychecks, government benefits which are difficult to track. Their customers do not have a complete picture of the inflows and outflows
What it does
Our app provides a simple and innovative way to prompt user to add expenses when they are restaurants and shopping centers by simply scanning their receipts using the camera. Similarly the user can add his income from various sources. The user will have a consolidated view of this inflows and outflows and based on that he can decide which were unnecessary expenses and can be avoided in future.
How we built it
We have built a native android app leveraging the phone's camera and location services.
Challenges we ran into
- Integrating OCR within Native Android application.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Using OCR to take inputs for expense and income, thus reducing the manual efforts required to make entries.
