Caring for Causes

Inspiration

We were inspired by the social issues from 2020 and so decided to create a website where users can learn more about them, along with the organizations that work to solve these issues.

What it does

Our website lets users learn about many different social issues by clicking a “Generate Issue” button. Each issue includes a description and a link to an organization that fights against the issue. Users can choose to go to the linked website to learn more ways on how they can help.

How we built it

We brainstormed ideas on what our website would do, then designed the site using HTML/CSS and Javascript.

Challenges we ran into

Some challenges we ran into included making sure the “Generate Issue” button worked efficiently, and fixing the layout of our website. These were solved by fixing code syntax and changing the positions of words and pictures as necessary.

Accomplishments that we’re proud of

We’re proud of completing the project and in particular getting the “Generate Issue” button to work properly. Furthermore, we are proud of figuring how to work together as a team remotely (two of our members are new to website dev :D)
