Inspiration

Our parents and grandparents have sacrificed their youth to provide us the luxurious life we have today. Now that they are old and feeble, it’s only fair for us to repay our debt of gratitude. Helping them to feel stronger and safer, prevent them from a disastrous fall, even if we can help them just a little bit, with Caredigit. It will be worth it! Because we believe that even small changes will make our parents and grandparents happier. They deserve!

What it does

Caredigit provides full professional care for the elderly. Falling unexpectedly is one of the main reasons why the elderly end up in a wheelchair. It is a blow to their already weak health, and is at the same time hurtful to their mental well being. Our services include fall detection, prediction and prevention alongside the rehabilitation process.

How we built it

Caredigit is based on IoT, machine learning and traditional therapeutic treatment. Caredigit also have wearable devices and mobile applications will providing critical data to the elderly and his therapist. These electronics can be employed for inside and outside activities 24/7, providing all-round care without blind spots. Caredigit also includes customized exergames which help patients and therapists to monitor future risk and improve mobility. Beside that, our product also supports personal use to provide several training tutorials.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have designed a system to predict, prevent and detect falling, and also provide support for rehabilitation. We can provide services to not only individuals but also communities or organizations.

What we learned

China is facing a serious problem of aging population while the public pension system is still being explored. The elderly prefer to age at home, but under the one-child policy, the pressure on young people to support their parents has become greater. However, in terms of consumption, the consumption level and consumption concept of Chinese senior citizens are being upgraded. Therefore, there is a huge opportunity for the elderly health care market in China.
