Inspiration

Being stuck in the ER for 2 hours suffering.

What it does

We created an app that solves overcrowding and capacity issues in Toronto hospitals.

How we built it

We used react and typescript for logic, tailwind css for ui, and Google Gemini genai SDK. We also used Google Maps data to help with location proximity.

Challenges we ran into

We had to simulate live data as we currently cannot access private hospital data.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It's the first time we've created an app so we are proud of our work and how it all came together.

What we learned

We learned how to incorporate Gemini AI into a working app for a use case that benefits a group of people.

What's next for Care Flow

Integrating the app with hospital data and hospital systems, as well as updating the maps and navigation to be more accurate.
