Inspiration
This is a project that we've been wanting to work on a long time, and our love for music and audio devices is what got us into electronics in the first place.
What it does
We have metal strips laid out like a keyboard, and when touched, it produces the corresponding note.
How we built it
We used an Arduino Nano and whatever supplies we had around us, which includes a breadboard, wires, and metal tape.
Challenges we ran into
We had some issues with implementing a communications protocol and the wiring on one of our boards.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to have a working stylophone.
What we learned
We learned about communications protocols, tuning, and audio outputs.
What's next for Cardboard Stylophone
Our current Cardboard Stylophone only has a range of one octave at a time, and we want to make it possible to expand the range by connecting multiple boards.
