Inspiration
UNDP SDP Goal 13 Climate Action - Reduce Carbon Emission or Help Others to do so. Global warming is causing long lasting changes to our climate. Green house emissions are more than 50% higher than in 1990. The goal aims to mobilize US$100 billion annually by 2020 to address the needs of developing countries to both adapt to climate change and invest in low-carbon development. Through carbonCost we invite everyone to join the initiative of going green and contribute for carbon neutral.
What it does
It will identify the transaction whether it is causing carbon emission or not and calculates an amount as carbon tax which user can either spend himself or pay through other organizations
How we built it
Created a web application using Angular-REST API and added ML to get last 5 years and next 10 years data to predict benefits for person and earth as well as to calculate carbon tax
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It is 75% aligned with the finastra CSR goal for going green and we got tremendous support from them and leaders.

It is still a POC, we would like to make this implemented as a plugin wherever required in finastra products - whatever its is.. Loan, Deposit anything
