Inspiration

Inspiration came from the track presented by Infineon.

What it does

The neuronal network destinguishes 8 different vehilce types (Bus, Car C Class, Crossover, Jeep, Minibus, Pickup, Sportscar, Truck). New data would be collected via a i2s-microphone and a Raspberry Pi 4.

How we built it

We used Edge Impulse to set up the neuronal network.

Challenges we ran into

Besides finding a suitable dataset we had problems make the model robust enough for recorded real world data.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting the Raspberry Pi and the microphone running and connected to our PC.

What we learned

How to set up a Raspberry Pi, how to solder a microphone to it and how to set up a neuronal network in Edge Impulse.

What's next for Car Sounds

It would be nice to improve our model to make it more robust for real world applications.
