Inspiration
Each of brought our own interests and ideas to the table to create a unique product, whether that be _ Cats & Soup _, pixelated art, or desktop buddies.
What it does
Captain Hopper provides a reward system for the user after completing a 25-minute section. It is designed to be compact, transparent, and out-of-the-way to provide minimal disturbance.
How we built it
We built and rendered the project in Unity. We designed our assets in Figma and Procreate.
Challenges we ran into
All our members were complete beginners to Unity, so the most difficult challenge was the learning curve. Another challenge we had to overcome was balancing the time between hand-drawing our assets and coding.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We completed a working demo that implements most of the features that we intended.
What we learned
We learned the technicalities and the fundamentals of Unity and how it plays into project time management and teamwork.
What's next for Captain Hopper
We intend to fully implement the reward system, improve animations, include sound effects / music, and a greater variety of user-customizable designs.
