Inspiration
Our inspiration came from our own personal experiences—we realized that 1. There doesn't yet exist a system in place for Brown students to explore new interests or clubs. Most of this happens through words of mouth. 2. There is no direct visual connections when you search someone on linkedln, it is hard to know how you are actually conencted.
What it does
- To solve the first issue, our home page consists of two parts. The 'forest' part means the courses and clubs you have never thought about. The "campsite" part suggests the clubs that people like you are most interested in.
- To solve the second issue, our search page, after you search someone, will show a path connecting campfires(clubs and courses) linking to the person you are searching for. That's how people are connected by campfires. ## How we built it Using react, figma and python. ## Challenges we ran into The UI was quite challenging, so does the data parsing. ## Accomplishments that we're proud of We are all first-time hackers. Team learnt python, figma, react in two days to make great work. ## What we learned We literally learnt python, figma nad react from 0. ## What's next for Camp@Brown
