Calliope

Inspiration

We wanted to solve the boredom of repetitive playlist and the trapped feeling you get when you run out of songs to listen to.

What it does

It has 3 innovative features to let you find new or songs you know to listen to and save it in other apps such as spotify. By pressing on the image of each song recommendation, it gives a short preview for the user to listen too.

How we built it

We used typescript and css using innovative cutting edge computational techniques that greatly advanced our efficiency and used APIs to connect with intelligent learning models, which WERE ALLOWED IN THE COMPETITION DUE TO IT STATING "ALL TOOLS ALLOWED"

Challenges we ran into

Sometimes the Api did not work and finding the right Api was one of the biggest challenge. Moreover, making sure our website actually gave relevant results were one of our biggest challendge that we replaced by adding 2 apis (spotify and itunes) so that when one fails one has backup.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of integrating 2 api keys for much reliable search and overall making the website and 3 innovative search engines were one of our greatest achievement.

What we learned

We learned how to harness modern technology and innovative cutting edge computational techniques to efficiently create a new websites.

What's next for Calliope

Calliope is still in prototype phase and we are currently working on making better search engines and more reliable api keys. Moreover Calliope may have a music video and just mp3 file feature in the future.
