Inspiration
As a college student when exams are close and instead of reading books we run towards pdf and important points, after learning the points we often try to remember it by asking a question and answering it ourself.
What it does
Our AI learning assistant extracts important points from given text/paragraph and makes a quick quiz in the form of flashcards
How we built it
I used Nextjs and tailwind to build the project, and Firebase for storage, auth. Along with Gemini API for generating the important points and questions/answer.
Challenges we ran into
Challenges faced are fetching and storing data for a specific/logged in user as I never done that before. And the hackathon itself was a good challenge.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Building a complete project within the time constraints
What we learned
Learnt to handle the data flow for the logged in user , Instructing Gemini API for specific output.
What's next for ByteLearn
- will have features to upload pdf's , images.
- will have MCQ, fill in the blanks and more ways to track users progress.
- UI changes maybe?
