Buyewon

Inspiration

We got the idea from how easy it is to shop online without thinking. It’s so simple to add stuff to your cart and check out without really needing it. Sometimes just letting things sit in your cart isn't enough. We wanted to make a fun project that flips that around—and also celebrates our love for Chaewon.

What it does

This is a fake shopping website where the normal buying experience is completely messed with. When you try to add something to the cart, it questions you like “Do you really need this?” or when you go to checkout, it makes it hard to complete the purchase. But if you try to buy Chaewon merch, everything works smoothly—no questions, just praise.

How we built it

Made an MVP by building a fake e-commerce website to show the POC. Built using Next.js, HTML/CSS and JS.

Bring it to scale, through a browser extension so that Buyewon will work on all major e-commerce sites.
