Inspiration

Inspired by minesweeper.

What it does

A variant of Minesweeper, the rules are the same. Avoid the cockroaches and open all the doors that are bug-free. You can use the broom to flag any door that you think contains a bug. You win by opening all the doors are that bug-free. When you open a door, there will be a number to tell you how many cockroaches are nearby.

How we built it

I just use the devvit webview template and integrate html, javascript and css together with devvit library.

Challenges we ran into

It was challenging to adjust the css according to different screen size. I only managed to do it for laptop.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The game works fine.

What we learned

I learned how to create a minesweeper variant game using reddit devvit and javascript.

What's next for Bugsweeper

Implement leaderboard and update the user interface to make it smoother.
