Inspiration
Financial Illiteracy continues to decline, widening the gap between those who are struggling and those who are prospering financially. Larger and larger percentages of the younger generation are financially anxious, concerned about repaying loans, and don't even understand how to budget successfully.
What it does
Our website aims to replicate successful budgeting, helping children learn through game-like experiences. Through set parameters and options, for now, children can realistically understand the struggles in adult-life, and are prepared to face them. We aim to reduce financial illiteracy, as nearly 75% of high school graduates are ill-equipped to make critical financial decisions.* With communities of all ages facing increasing financial challenges, it’s more important than ever to understand how money works, and how to make it work for each of us – no matter our ambitions or personal measures of success. Our mission is to offer an informative yet engaging financial budgeting simulation that helps users learn about money and how to successfully manage it. *Jump$tart 2008 Survey Book
