Inspiration
Our Inspiration was Facebook Marketplace and Nextdoor. We wanted to create a reliable and safe environment for students to find and sell items they may need.
What it does
This website checks for .osu.edu authentication specially for OSU students. OSU students can come and sell or buy items they need. Moving in and out of dorms can be an hassle and finding the right deals can be a pain this makes it a convenient process for everyone!
How we built it
We used lovable for the forntend, to make the layout and used loveable to create the backend as well, to make the database.
Challenges we ran into
A challenge we ran into was recoding and getting to properly upload.

We are proud of the way we where able to execute the project and they way we divided the code.

What's next for BuckeDeals
Next, we hope to expand by adding a chat feature and a user review system, so there’s an incentive for reliability. For seniors who are graduating and want to sell items from their apartments, we would use image recognition to verify BuckID instead of email in case their accounts are deactivated after graduation. Beyond that, we plan to pursue brand deals with local companies to continue growing and expanding the platform.
