Bronco Buddies

Inspiration

Managing time is crucial for a student’s success in college and education. Poor time management will lead to increased stress and an overwhelming workload.

College is all about independence, but sometimes students need a friendly reminder to stay on task. However, students may not understand which tasks to prioritize.

What it does

It optimizes schedule creation via an algorithm that calculates student assignment urgency via due date and assignment type(essay, project, test, homework, quiz, etc)

How we built it

We built it using HTML, CSS, JS

Challenges we ran into

We realized poor time management could lead to burnout and people who don’t manage time well are more likely to experience stress, anxiety and other mental illnesses due to the constant amount of work piled on the student.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our progress despite being a team of first time coders

What we learned

We learned how to effectively work in groups and to tough out hackathons.

What's next for Bronco Buddies

Finish website by using Fetch to combine the back end and front end of our project. Using MySQL to store data for the long term. An improved UI/UX design: making the website more visually appealing and incorporating new animations.
