Inspiration
Have you ever Googled your name or phone number and discovered all your information has been leaked online? This is a common problem in todays world.
Tracking one's digital footprint has become increasingly important as their are individuals who plan to use that data for malicious intent.
What it does
The goal of this project was to create a web application that allows the user to create a private social media account. Machine learning and data scraping are used to find the user's information on other websites and then the user is given the option to delete their data from those sites.
How we built it
We broke up the project into several components. The data scraping and deletion email was accomplished using Python.
Challenges we ran into
We are in different timezones so it was difficult to communicate. Also, 36 hours was not enough time to complete some of the bigger tasks.
What we learned
We learned a lot about Python.
What's next for Bredcrums
We plan to continue the project, deploy it and add new features. We also plant to pitch the idea to investors.
