Inspiration
The idea sparked from frustrating corporate brainstorming sessions where the same voices dominated discussions and research happened in isolation from ideation. We realized that Perplexity's Sonar API could transform brainstorming by bringing real-time research directly into the creative process - no more outdated assumptions or uninformed ideas.
What it does
Brainstorm Owleye.AI creates a multi-persona AI brainstorming environment where custom owl personalities collaborate to solve complex problems. Perplexity Sonar Pro powers the platform by:
- Research-enhanced responses - Personas validate assumptions with current market data
- Competitive intelligence - Access 2025 trends and benchmarks for contextualized answers
- Deep dive analysis - SCAMPER methodology backed by Sonar's deep research capabilities
How we built it
Backend: FastAPI with Pydantic AI orchestrating intelligent routing between personas Frontend: React 19 with TypeScript for real-time chat interface AI Integration:
- Perplexity Sonar Pro for research-enhanced brainstorming
- OpenAI GPT-4.1 for conversational AI
- GPT-Image-1 for custom owl avatar generation
