Inspiration

It was International Women's day on Saturday so we decided to pick up that theme for our project. one of team member is a also a boxer so we has combine those ideas together (a fighter for love or love what you fight for).
The player will play a role as a boxer who love his dear wife and wanted to make her happy on Women Day. Although his up-coming fight is tomorrow , he manage find a way to train in the household chores which he willing to do for his love one.

What it does

The gameplay is influenced by RPG games and Rhythm games when there are a open world that allow player to go around and chose the types of mini rhythm games they want to play!

How we built it

We use Godot Engine and we hand-drew most of the illustration.

Challenges we ran into

-Time managing -Level difficulty setting -illustrating art.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • we learn how to combine ideas from different genres of games
  • improvise our ideas based on a given theme.

What we learned

  • the importance of sound effects and good music on player's mood
  • to create different mechanism for each integrated mini-games.

What's next for Boxelamin

  • more mini games,
  • better illustration
  • allow player to set difficulty for each minigames
  • more mechanism (point counting, story plot-twist,...)
