Have you ever tried to set up a meeting, but had to go through a long and tedious email chain to do so? This website, called BookIt!, aims to solve that issue.
BookIt! uses the Google Calendar API to automatically find an open time slot in your calendar in business hours, and set up a new meeting.
This project was inspired by the annoying email chains we have to go through to schedule an interview with a recruiter.
By developing this website, we learned a lot about Node.js, web frameworks, and API integration. We also developed our algorithmic mindset by finding an open calendar slot.
Throughout the development of this website, we faced many challenges in utilizing the APIs, especially because of the OAuth tokens. We overcame these challenges with our relentless mindset and the end goal in mind.
