Inspiration
In this Corona pandemic we tried to built an application that will help us to book a table at restaurant easily by maintaining social distancing. Moreover this will helps the user the user end audience to check the availability at various restaurants just by scanning the QR code.
What it does??
USERS - The user will scan the QR code and and get the result of availability of tables there.
RESTAURANT OWNER - The owner can register his or her restaurant on this app and automatically a QR code will get generated in few seconds. The owner can display the QR code in restaurant so that whenever a customer comes he / she can easily check the availability just by scanning it.
How I built it??
We have used firebase for creating the database and google cloud services to create QR code. Moreover we created a website also that will show the availability of tables at restaurant,
Accomplishments that We're proud of !!
We successfully developed it and we are proud that we just initiated a small step that will help people to maintain social distancing in this difficult time.
What I learned !!
We learnt a lot new things in firebase and cloud services . How to use database real-time database and how to store data in database on firebase , how to create QR codes from google cloud.
What's next for book my table ?
We will send notifications to users whenever a restaurant is nearby of a user from google cloud messaging. We will give the menu items directly on the app so that whenever some customer orders something from the restaurant he / she can easily pay the bills(Google pay) by not having any direct contact with person.
