Inspiration
People are lazy, therefore we made a virtual assistant to help facilitate everyone's laziness.
What it does
Virtual Assistant to book appointments for you.
How we built it
We used the Nuance NLU to get meanings in the form of JSON Files from what people say. The front end is built as an Android app, which is intended to send data to a backend server written in Python.
Challenges we ran into
We had issues getting Twilio to automate calling, and having our front end app connect with our back end server.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The Android App is able to pick up intents from what people say. The Twilio backend was integrated well too.
What we learned
We learnt to work with Nuance NLU and Twilio, getting a deeper understanding of working with Artificial Intelligience and automated systems.
What's next for Book Me
We still need to work more on the Twilio implementation.
