Boiler Event Tracker

Inspiration

There wasn't a centralized system for finding all the activities on campus. We wanted to create something that students could easily access to view and record events.

What it does

It displays a map with markers that represent events added by users. You can then click the marker to view the event's info.

How I built it

We built it using Python, Kivy, MongoDB, and radar.io

Challenges I ran into

We did not have previous experience using Kivy or MongoDB, so we spent a lot of time reading documentation and watching tutorials.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We're proud of submitting a completed project and learning new skills.

What I learned

We learned about the benefits of using Kivy and how to work with databases and APIs

What's next for Boiler Event Tracker

We would like to implement an image upload feature that allows users to submit pictures of the event.
